Company: City of Marietta Position: Cashier Location: Marietta, GA Salary: $10.25 - 11.68 Posted: 05/01/18 Closing Date: 05/06/18 Job Description: This is an entry-level position within the Finance department that reports directly to the Accounting/Treasury Manager. This position is responsible for receiving City/BLW payments, issuing receipts, balancing monies collected and transporting daily deposits to the bank.  Assists customers with general payment/billing questions.  Cashes personal checks for City/BLW employees.  Verifies and balances large sums of cash and/or checks, and deposits in the bank.  Provides data entry for tax and fixed assets accounts for other Finance divisions as assigned.  Answers main telephone for City Hall and provides general information or directs public to various departments within the City.  Processes all payments for the City/BLW. Related activities include using a PC to locate customer accounts, processing mail-in payments and issuing receipts.
