Company: College of Continuing and Professional Education – Kennesaw State University Position: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Instructor Location: Kennesaw, GA Posted: 09/05/18 End Date: Until Filled Job Description: The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University is seeking qualified applicants for the part time position Instructor of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The instructor must have current knowledge and/or teaching experience in the topic of cloud computing, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS). The instructor should also have the AWS certification. Applicant should be proficient in and be able to teach the following to students: Define what the AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure Describe basic AWS Cloud architectural principles Describe the AWS Cloud value proposition Describe key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases (for example, compute and analytics) Describe basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform and the shared security model Define the billing, account management, and pricing models Identify sources of documentation or technical assistance (for example, whitepapers or support tickets) Describe basic/core characteristics of deploying and operating in the AWS Cloud
The instructor will work hand-in-hand with the development team to develop the curriculum for the course. The goal of the course is to prepare the students to pursue the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification. As a result, the instructor should be familiar with AWS’ exam objectives. The ideal instructor is passionate about teaching new skills to students. They should create a positive and encouraging classroom environment that helps students to persevere through the challenges of learning a new skill set.
